The integration of elements on a new background in Photoshop is an essential part of any compositing work. There are many techniques that allow you to do that but all of them usually involve the adjusting of three variables: Color/Hue, Contrast and Brightness/Luminosity values.
In this tutorial I will show you how I integrated a 3D rendered Spider into a new background trying to match these three variables of the new background. You will see how to create a simple layer mask using the Calculations technique, and how you can use layer styles on the spider layer to match the color and ambient light of the background.
