    Andrei, I think you’re amazing.. Thank you for all you do. I have a question I hope you can answer… When using the 50% gray D&B layer, sometimes you use overlay, and sometimes soft light. Can you explain the difference/benefits of choosing one over the other? Thank you :-)

      Hi Bogey, using Softlight or Overlay is essentially the same. The only difference is that with overlay, the effect is a bit stronger so you need less brush strokes to get the effect you want, or you can use lower settings on the brush to get a stronger effect.

      You can try working on Softlight and when you’re done, change the layer’s blend mode to Overlay and you should see how the effect is a little stronger.
