Create a Realistic Lake in Photoshop

Making a believable lake in Photoshop is not a difficult task to do even for beginners. In this video tutorial I will show you how you can achieve that using a few filters. This effect can be applied to any image but it certainly looks best on landscape or outdoors images. Enjoy.

A while ago I found a super cool tutorial on Second Picture. This tutorial explained how to create a realistic water effect in Photoshop. I liked it so much that I created a video version. If you want to read the text tutorial make sure you visit the authors website: http://www.secondpicture.com/tutorials/digital_image_processing/photoshop_water_tutorial.html

Any chance you will be making an in depth tutorial on combining portions of backgrounds to creat your own backgrounds for photo manipulations?

      • http://www.psdbox.com Andrei Oprinca

I actually do. I was thinking on making tutorials about that but if you follow the latest tutorials on the Manipulations category you will see that almost all tutorials start by explaining just that
